1.0          Role
The Sales Manager – Motion Control is responsible for launching and growing
Diakont’s high-performance electromechanical actuator product line. The individual will utilize their knowledge and connections to guide product line development, capture long-term contracts with volume users, and initiate and nurture mutually-beneficial distributor relationships.

2.0          Responsibilities
  • Guide technical product development.
  • Maintain positive contact with newly acquired customers.
  • Meet or exceed established goals for the capture of equipment supply contracts.
  • Identify and qualify new prospects.
  • Conduct market analysis by segments of presence in the region and selected prospective segments, in terms of customers and competitors.
  • Support company marketing efforts through active participation in industry meetings and conferences.
  • Present product features, benefits, and overall offering to new customers nationwide.
  • Serve as an industry subject matter expert on topics surrounding electromechanical actuators.
  • Conceive new product and service offerings that meet customer requirements.
  • Generate the commercial component of customer proposals.
  • Protect organization’s value by maintaining strict discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management.
  • Perform other activities as directed.

3.0          Requirements

  • Must have prior industry experience, preferably in direct sales, either for an actuator, precision gear, or servomotor manufacturer, a distributor, or an OEM user.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of automation-related work experience, in an Engineering, Sales, Business Development, or Management role.
  • Must have at least a bachelor’s degree level of formal education, preferably in a technical field
  • (electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering).
  • Must have computer skills, including the ability to use MS Office applications.
  • Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills, and be able to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Must be discreet, energetic, self-starting, self-managed, highly ethical, and have impeccable attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Must be stress-resistance, customer-oriented, responsible, initiative and proactive.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be a team player with personality traits and skills that enable him/her to work effectively with all levels of staff, vendors, and customers as well as possess the ability to work independently.
  • Travel Percentage: 15-45%, some of which may be international.
